Come out to the CLC in Guysborough today from 10:30 - 1:30 to get a great Christmas gift from the guysborough historical society… local history books… you may even meet a couple of the authors!

We had the pleasure today of welcoming cousins Sam Morris (left) from New Jersey and Rob Thorne (right) of Massachusetts, 5th great grandsons of James Lodge, the British pioneer entrepreneur who built the Bolyston mansion, thornhill, in 1785 and who was the subject of our president’s Chris cook’s (Center) most recent book. They were thrilled to get a copy of his book today at the Old Court House Museum.

A nice group on hand tonight to welcome and listen to Michigan author Mark Partridge present the history, research and process to writing his historical fiction novel Submit… based on the life and families of Submit Leet Grant Partridge of Guysborough.
