Marlene Jofriet Studio Marlene Jofriet paints in vivid colours rural and urban landscapes that flirt with the abstract, yest retain a connection with real space. and New Zealand.

Marlene graduated in architecture at Canterbury College of Art and Architecture , U.K. She has practiced architecture in Canada and the U.K. and is now retired from that profession. At present she is fully occupied as an artist and paints and sketches full time. Marlene has also conducted many workshops in watercolour painting. Urban and rural landscapes are the main source of her inspirations whi

ch she presents in a colourful and impressionistic manner using acrylics or watercolour. Marlene's works hang in collections in Canada, the U.K., the U.S.A. Her paintings hang in the University of Guelph, including a mural "Reaching" in the Engineering Complex, as well as in Guelph City Hall.

​Marlene's work may be viewed at her home studio in Guelph by appointment.
