On Saturday, October 17, from 11 am to 12:30 pm, join naturalists and educators Dani Hagel and Jordan Roth for a guided walk along the Eramosa River.

Together, we’ll follow the river to a site where clay and other geological features are visible in the landscape. Through close observation, naturalist practices, and conversation, we’ll explore the relationships between water, stone, soil, and the living systems that shape this place. The walk invites us to slow down, look more closely, and consider our own relationships with the land and the more-than-human life around us.

Dani Hagel is an interdisciplinary artist, wildlife tracker, and herbalist whose work explores land-based practices as tools for remediating our relationships with our bodies, the land, and each other. Jordan Roth has been mentoring people of all ages in deep nature awareness, naturalist training, and wilderness survival skills for over a decade.

📍 Meeting location: Guelph Outdoor School, 733 Stone Road East, Guelph, ON.

This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Earth Bodies on view at the Art Gallery of Guelph through January 3, 2027.

The Walking as Remapping series is presented by the Art Gallery of Guelph with the support of TD Friends of the Environment.

Have you heard the good news? The AGG’s Sunshine Studio Series is back – this time for an eight-week fall edition! Take a look at the exciting workshops we have planned 🍂🌟

The Art Gallery of Guelph’s Sunshine Studio Series is a welcoming, creative, and social space where community members 16+ are invited to gather, connect, and explore their creativity through a series of guided beginner-friendly craft activities each Wednesday. Workshops are aimed at students, emerging professionals, and anyone looking to connect with others while exploring new artmaking techniques and materials. Each week offers a new activity with something handmade and uniquely yours to bring home every time.

Fall colours in the AGG Sculpture Park 🍂

Comprised of 41 permanent installations, the Donald Forster Sculpture Park is located on two-and-a-half acres adjacent to the AGG building. Open daily from dawn to dusk, it's a fantastic place to relax, reset, and explore.

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Art Gallery of Guelph remembers the children who never returned home from residential schools and honours Survivors, their families, and communities.

We are grateful for the relationships, collaborations, and knowledge shared with us by Indigenous artists, knowledge holders, community members, and organizations over many years. We also recognize the continued learning and unlearning required of cultural institutions—ongoing responsibilities that extend well beyond a single day.

Join us tonight from 6:30 - 8:30 pm for our Fall Exhibitions Launch!

On the first floor, explore Earth Bodies, a group exhibition of contemporary Indigenous artists whose ceramic and clay-based practices examine relationships to land, water, memory, and the body. Upstairs, looking in/looking through, curated by Casper Sutton-Fosman, winner of the 2026 Middlebrook Prize for Young Canadian Curators, considers the intertwined histories of photography and medical imaging, while records and manifestations highlights photo-based work from the gallery’s permanent collection.

Curators and artists will be in attendance. All are welcome. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served and a cash bar will be available.
