Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society The GFW Heritage Society is committed to preserving the history of the mill, the town and its people. We are accepting new members and membership renewals.

The collection of the Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society includes documents, artifacts and photographs related to the history of the mill, the town and its people. Website: www.gfwheritagesociety.ca

Membership: The price of Membership is $10/year. We encourage you to renew your membership on our website via PayPal or E-transfer. The email address for e-transfer is [email protected]. Your membership will be covered until the same date the following year. If you prefer to renew in person you can do so at the Centre. Membership supports the work of the Society in the preservation and promotion of heritage, and is open to everyone. The benefits of being a member of the Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society include access to our quarterly Newsletter and membership discounts on services and merchandise. Hours: 9-5, Monday to Friday. Anyone that would like to volunteer can contact our office. Opinions expressed here are those of the posters, not of the GFWHS. The train at the Demasduit Regional Museum was successfully moved yesterday to the Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society.

This initiative, led by the Heritage Society, marks the beginning of an exciting restoration project that will take place over the coming months. We are pleased to collaborate with this community‑driven organization as they work to preserve this historically significant engine. The move also returns the train closer to its original context, the former location of the paper mill, strengthening its connection to our provincial heritage.
