Find Something Unique for Dad at The Williams Mill
Father’s Day is just around the corner, and our studios are filled with distinctive, handmade gift ideas that beat another standard tie. Skip the big-box stores and discover one-of-a-kind pieces crafted right here in the Glen.
Here is a look at a few highlights available on campus this week:
🟧 Original Art Cards: Painter Lisa Knie, located in the Stone Building studio, has a beautiful selection of original, hand-painted cards. They make a fantastic addition to a gift and look wonderful when framed as standalone artwork.
🟧 Handblown Glassware: Head over to Glen Williams Glass to browse their latest unique creations, including vibrant glass molcajete bowls perfect for serving salsa or guacamole. If Dad likes the unusual, check out the anatomical glass art pieces.
🟧 Sustainable Wood Accessories: Kristensen-Smith Gallery, also in the Stone Building studio, features elegant, sustainable wood wallets that offer a sleek cardholder alternative for Dad. The handcrafted wooden phone holders are just $15, a perfect, pocket-money-friendly option for kids looking to buy a special token for Dad or a favourite teacher.
Take a stroll through our historic buildings this week to meet the makers and find a gift with a real story behind it.
The Glen Williams Glass Studio is open seven days a week from 12 Noon to 5 PM, while the Courtyard and Stone Building Studios are open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 Noon to 5 PM, and by chance on Mondays and Tuesdays.
