Behind the Scenes: A Sneak Peek at What’s Coming

We recently had photographer Cody in the studios capturing fresh imagery for our upcoming website update.

Here is a look behind the lens inside Stephanie Schirm Creative Events studio, where vibrant figurative and mixed-media works bring the space to life. Stephanie is an accomplished mixed-media artist, illustrator, and instructor whose career spans European fashion design, communication design, and community art education across the GTA.

Keep an eye out for our updated artist directories and new website imagery coming soon. In the meantime, you can visit Stephanie’s studio in person Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

We are thrilled to see Williams Mill resident glass artist Tara Marsh featured as Art Comp 2026's Artist of the Day!

Explore the art of oil painting in a welcoming, small-group setting right here at the Mill. Pauline Gladstone's upcoming fall sessions start the week of September 12, with morning classes available on Saturdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

Offered right here in Halton Hills, Coffee & Colours, a playful, stress-free space for adults to explore the art of oil painting at their own pace. Join professional artist, Pauline Gladstone in her studio and create your masterpiece in oils. With only four spots in each class, painters receive the 1-on-1 mentorship and instruction needed to learn the foundations of oil painting. You’ll be personally guided through the process of creating an oil painting from start to a varnished finish. No experience necessary. Art supplies included.

To make it affordable we offer rolling blocks of 4 sessions for $270 plus tax.
Fall Programs start September 12th, 16th, or 17th.

"It is worth the drive, and a best-kept secret!"

We love hearing from visitors who spend their day exploring the hamlet. Recent visitor Dan Bodanis dropped in right at closing time and received a personal tour from resident stone carver Rob Finnie:

"Rob could have said, 'I'm sorry folks, but we're just closing up.' Instead, Rob took us on a private gallery tour of the most wonderful stone carvings, gave us the background on each artist, and spoke about his artistic process, the time and commitment he dedicates to each project, all stemming from inspiration leading to his incredible creations."

Following Rob's recommendation, the group finished their visit downstairs at The Glen Tavern for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal.

Whether you are meeting our artists in their studios, exploring the galleries, or dining at the Tavern, Williams Mill is the perfect day-trip destination.

Join Canadian oil painter Lorne Winters for an inspiring 8-Week Still Life Oil Painting Course in his private studio at Williams Mill Creative Arts in Glen Williams.

Throughout the course, Lorne will guide you step by step as you explore colour, value, light, composition, edges and brushwork. You will learn how to paint flowers, glass, porcelain, fabric and beautiful reflections while developing greater confidence in your own creative process.

You do not have to be an artist to begin. You simply need the desire to learn.

Art Crawl in the Glen returns this Friday, August 14, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, featuring more than a dozen visiting guest artisans alongside our resident studios.

Visitors can explore a diverse marketplace of local makers showcasing handmade pottery and ceramics, custom stained glass, original watercolour and textile art, reimagined denim, and custom apparel.

Pair your shopping with live music from Rob Finnie, Bruce Madole, and the acoustic duo Alan Fiddler and Heather Lee, along with sweet treats from the Funnel Cake Dream food truck.

Location: Williams Mill, 515 Main St., Glen Williams in Halton Hills. Parking is available at the school directly across from the Mill, and alternate access to our lower parking lot remains open.

What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday!

Thank you Loralea for spending the day with us and sharing a look at your glassblowing session.

Took a break from the campaign trail to take my Dad glass blowing at Williams Mill Creative Arts Studios. Spending a day being creative with my Dad and my sister is our special annual tradition to celebrate Dad's birthday. He has taught us so much and always eager to learn a new skill!
If you are lucky enough to have a guy like this in your life, celebrate him!
