A Living Legacy in French Village 🌿
Our Community Vision is Taking Root!
We are so proud to share the progress of The French Village Conservation Woodland Project, a heart-led initiative by the Parish of French Village (St. Paul’s Anglican Church). This project is more than just land preservation—it’s about creating a sustainable future where nature and community thrive together.
What makes this project special?
🫎 27 Acres of Protected Forest: A vital sanctuary for the mainland moose, yellow birch trees, and rare lichens.
🌱 Canada’s 1st Urban Certified Green Burial Site: Offering a peaceful, eco-friendly resting place that returns us to the earth in a natural, dignified way.
🚶 Community Wellness: Featuring over 2km of trails, including a dedicated Seniors’ Exercise Loop, a meditation garden, and a forest school for our youth.
⛪ Preserving Our Heritage: Revitalizing the historic salmon-pink St. Paul’s Church as a hub for education, events, and community connection.
As Seen in the News: 🗞️
Our story has captured hearts across the province! Check out the recent media coverage detailing our journey toward becoming a provincially designated conservation area:
