Firefighters of Fort Erie No.2 Fire Dept.when the hall was on Jarvis St. Scanned pictures I believe go back to when it was Bridgeburg Fire Co but I don't know the names unfortunately.

Photo of Bridgeburg Fire Department. (year unknown). Pictured also is the new 1947, 700 Series American LaFrance pumper in service until the blizzard of "77, at Station 2 on Jarvis St. Bridgeburg became part of Fort Erie in 1932.
Third photo was taken at the new Central Avenue fire station and includes the 1927 Bickel from Station 1 on Bertie Street and a 1952 GMC Rescue Van which was in service for many years with the Crystal Beach Volunteer Fire Company. All three vehicles are at the LaFrance museum on Concession Rd in Fort Erie.

Need the siren mounted on a pole at the LaFrance needs painting and maybe resecured. Need recommendations.

Saddened to say my dad passed away April 2, 2026 at the age of 110. He would have been 111 on April 14, 2026. Thanks for the memories. Will miss you and your wisdom, your laughter and until we meet again. Thank you for your service and Rest In Peace.

We lost two charter members of the Fort Erie LaFrance Association firefighting museum in 2025.

Lubert Doornekamp

Both were instrumental in helping create the museum back in 1983 and many years after a big part of the association. Both firefighters with Fort Erie Station 2. Thank You to both and may you rest in peace.
