Lisa welcomed Suzanne from Ducks Unlimited Canada- Saskatchewan for a tour of our newly expanded wetland walking tour.

As an avid birder, Suzanne shared her incredible knowledge of the wildlife that calls this area home. Her passion for protecting and appreciating our natural spaces was truly inspiring.

Suzanne also shared valuable insight into opportunities to further enhance the wetland for ecological growth, as well as ideas for future community education and engagement opportunities.

We are grateful for the chance to connect with people who share our love for nature, conservation, and helping our community discover the incredible spaces right in our own backyard.

🤠 What a fantastic afternoon in the Pilot Butte Rodeo Family Fun Zone!

The White Butte Museum had an amazing time sharing a little piece of history with so many curious young visitors. Our collection of retro toys brought smiles and sparked plenty of conversations, while many kids were fascinated to learn how rotary phones worked long before smartphones existed!

The star of the day was our 1930s typewriter ✨

Kids couldn’t get enough of it! They eagerly lined up to try typing their names and messages, and many told us it was their favorite part of the entire Family Fun Day. Watching young people discover and connect with technology from nearly a century ago was truly special.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions, shared stories, and helped make the day so memorable. We loved being part of this wonderful community event and can’t wait to see you again soon!

This new set of artifacts includes a display of 1973 toy replicas of antique cars and a display of vintage alarm clocks, among other neat pieces from our past. Visit the library to check it out for yourself!

The White Butte Museum was delighted to welcome community members, partners, and nature enthusiasts to the Grand Opening of our new Wetland Expansion Walking Tour.

Thank you to Dale Hjertaas and Cheryl Russell for helping bring this educational experience to life. We would also like to recognize the Town of White City for its continued partnership which was instrumental in making the wetland expansion possible. Town Councillor Dustin Grant joined us and shared kind words of support and appreciation for the project.

We invite you to take a walk, explore the signs, and discover the beautiful wetland for yourself.
