The Edgerton & District Historical Society is appreciative and grateful to Trudy Peterson of Edgerton Foods and wishes to acknowledge her recent gift of a unique set of Old English china to our museum. Trudy donated a nine place setting of "Queen's Bouquet " Old English china that was originally owned by her Grandmother, Scholastica "Lassie" Oleson. "Lassie" passed the set along to her daughter Frances Atkinson (Trudy's Mother) sometime during the 1960's who subsequently passed the set down to Trudy.

What is unique about this China is that it is a commemorative set that has a replica of the bouquet presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth (The "Queen Mother") during her Royal Visit to Canada in 1939. The china was manufactured in 1940 by Johnson Bros. of England. THANK YOU TRUDY!!

The china will eventually be displayed on a table in the Johnson House on the museum grounds once restoration is complete.
