We're just 10 days away from our Indigo Spooky Stories event with Cree Elder, Storyteller, and Artist Jim Adams! You'll engage with Indigenous spooky cautionary tales, starting with the contemporary story by Robert Munsch 𝘈 𝘗𝘙𝘖𝘔𝘐𝘚𝘌 𝘐𝘚 𝘈 𝘗𝘙𝘖𝘔𝘐𝘚𝘌, plus stories from the Innuit, the Cree, and the Anishinaabe. McMaster University is teaming up with the DM+A for another fall archaeology program 𝘼𝘿𝙑𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙐𝙍𝙀𝙎 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙊𝘿𝙔𝙎𝙎𝙀𝙐𝙎 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝙇𝙊𝙍𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙊𝘿𝙔𝙎𝙎𝙀𝙔 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙂𝙍𝙀𝙀𝙆 𝘼𝙍𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙀𝙊𝙇𝙊𝙂𝙔 on Saturday, October 24th. Participants will learn about the Odyssey with hands-on activities for all ages. Join experts from McMaster’s Department of Anthropology and excavate in play sand, learn about ancient archaeology in general, and explore the myths and monsters of Ancient Greece. It will be a fun and educational event the whole family will enjoy!

Today is the opening day for our featured exhibition 𝘋𝘜𝘕𝘋𝘈𝘚 𝘘𝘜𝘐𝘓𝘛𝘚: 𝘏𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘛𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘴! This all new exhibit features highlights from our large collection of local historical quilts.

With some dating back to the 1840s and as old as the Town itself, these treasured and carefully preserved works of textile art are astounding examples of our community's heritage of handicraft. Also included in this exhibit are artworks by some of the many contemporary quilters who call Dundas and its environs home. Get a close look at a two hundred year legacy of skill and artistry and see for your self that Dundas quilts!

This exhibition runs from October 3, 2026 to April 18, 2027. As always, admission is FREE and OPEN to the public with donations gratefully received.

Attention Dundas! The 29th Annual Dundas Studio Tour takes place this weekend! For nearly 30 years, the Dundas Studio Tour has showcased some of the finest artistry Southern Ontario has to offer. We welcome local Dundasians, Hamiltonians, and those coming from even further to stroll through the Valley Town on Saturday October 3rd, and Sunday October 4th for a classic local tradition. Meet the artists, order that special custom piece you've always wanted, find the perfect gift for the holiday season, and more!
