Part 2! - This one’s a little more challenging than our previous giraffe video 😆

Here’s some juicy hints:

Hint 1:
Its beak is so large that nature had to make most of it hollow just so the bird could fly. 🪽

Hint 2:
That “helmet” on top of its beak is called a casque. It helps amplify their calls through the rainforest like built-in surround sound. 📢

Hint 3:
Some species seal the female inside a tree cavity with mud while she nests… leaving only a tiny slit for food deliveries. 😳🍟

Hint 4:
They’re considered sacred or symbolic in many cultures and are often associated with wisdom, protection, and the spirit world. 🌀

Hint 5:
It may look prehistoric, but this species is still alive today - living deep within the rainforests of West and Central Africa. 👀🌿

These are ammonite fossils - ancient marine creatures that once drifted through Earth’s oceans, hundreds of millions of years ago. 👀

As they grew, their shell expanded outward, creating a spiral that has stood the test of time.

And here’s where it gets wild…

these spirals often follow the Fibonacci sequence - a mathematical rhythm that shows up in everything from seashells to galaxies.

A quiet reminder that everything is more connected than it seems. 🌌

Hint 1:
It has a tongue that can reach about 18–20 inches long and is dark in colour to help protect it from sun exposure while feeding. 🌿

Hint 2:
It only needs about 5–30 minutes of sleep in a day. 😱

Hint 3:
It has the same number of neck bones as a human - just much, much bigger ones. 🦴

Curious… Which one would you keep as a pet and what would you name it? Lil peanut? Harley-Quinn? 😆🪳Photo 1: Peanut-Heade...

This MASSIVE egg belonged to the Elephant bird of Madagascar - an extinct flightless giant that may have stood up to 10 feet tall and weighed well over 1,000 lbs.😱

Its egg is the largest known bird egg ever discovered, measuring up to 33 cm (13 inches) long and holding around 8–8.5 litres of volume. That’s roughly equal to 150–180 chicken eggs in one shell. 🥚

It is also larger than any confirmed dinosaur egg found to date. 🦖🦕

Elephant birds disappeared from Madagascar within the last 1,000 - 1,500 years, likely due to a combination of overhunting, habitat loss, and egg collection after people arrived on the island.

A reminder that some of history’s most extraordinary creatures vanished more recently than many people realize!

Pick your poison… part 2. 🫣🧪

From powdered alum and gout “cures” to mysterious tonics and callous removers, this cabinet is stacked with remedies that promised a lot… and delivered who knows what.

A fascinating (and slightly unhinged) look at medicine before modern regulation.

Visit our page to see more strange, old school remedies in part one!
