Happy Thanksgiving from the Homestead Museum in the beautiful Drumheller Valley!

Blast from the Past! 😮

In 1996, the Murray House (built in 1919) was re-located to the Homestead Museum from its original location north of the Little Church.

The house is special, not only because was ordered through the Eaton's Catalogue in 1919, but also because it was a beloved meeting place for family, friends, and neighbours in the area for many decades.

This article from The Drumheller Mail in 1996 called the Murray House "an old gal, that someday, may be restored to her original grandeur."

We at the Homestead Museum have been restoring this amazing building little by little, with new roofing, new paint, and now a new furnace, to help preserve it for future generations to appreciate!

If you would like to help us preserve this unique piece of local pioneer history, please consider making a donation to the Homestead Museum Society. Tax receipts are available. Thank you to everyone who has helped us further these initiatives. 🥰
