Well, we are down to the last couple of days for the season. Anora is waiting to see and welcome the last summer visitors. Open 12 to 5 today and tomorrow.

Well, that is a wrap! The garden party was a success. A big thank you to all the visitors that came out today to view the displays and share stories and reminisce with old friends. Also, a big thank you to the committee that made the event happen: June, Lea, and Shirley along with Camen who supported in her unique way. And Alfred and Henry who do what us women ask.
The weather was great and the few bugs were not too bad. Food was good and drinks were fine. And big appreciation to Mitzi and Bruce who have helped out in many ways this season. Anora's time is coming to an end at the end of August and she has been a wonder. Very knowledgeable on local history that she is always willing to share.

Due to prior commitments the museum will.not be open this Sunday, August 16. We will reopen on Wendsday August 19 from noon to 5 as per normal hours.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to remind people that the museum is open from 12 to 5 Wendsdays to Sundays this year. Anora is on hand to welcome everyone and support them in veiwing the displays in both buildings. This year we have many pieces of clothing from local famlies on display as well as vintage hats and china. Keep you eyes peeled for an upcoming event (tentitive date August 7 for garden or tea party) to help raise funds for keeping the museum open. We run on donations from guests who come through our doors and locals that have made personal donations. More information to follow on that once things are finalized.

Good morning everyone. Glad to announce we will be opening this week. We are open Wendsdays to Sundays from 12 to 5. We will be closed on the 26th due to a prior commitment of our host.
This year we are featuring vintage clothing, a variety of hats, and china and dishes. We have many items from local families on display. Come by and see if you can spot your family's contributions to our museum.
We do not charge for enrty but we gladly accept donations to support the hire of our summer host and the maintenance of our building.
Hope to see locals and visitors come support the museum.

Well, the yard is looking great after mowing, trimming and clearing out braches. Thanks to the volunteers that are making the museum look great for the season. We are getting the buildings painted soon as well so everything should be ship shape. Also looking to install a small patio with picnic table come fall.

Unfortunately I was not able to help today but I am very greatful to these workers that came and cleaned at the museum. Getting it ready for the season. June, Alfred, Lea, and my hubby spruced up the place. Sorry I couldn't be there. Opening coming at the end of June. This season featuring hats, china, clothing. Dressing up for dinner!!!!.

The Franklin Museum would like to thank our local Sturgeon Foundation and the Thomas Sill Foundation for the grant money that will go towards painting the exterior of the museum buildings and hopefully get a picnic area developed.
