Looking to explore your creativity in a supportive, relaxed environment? Join Sue Miller for a full-day workshop focused on intuitive abstract painting — where the process matters more than the outcome.

🗓 June 20, 2026
⏰ 10 AM – 3 PM

Through guided exercises, you’ll learn to let go of control, quiet the inner critic, and connect with your authentic artistic voice.

✨ About the Artist
Sue currently has an exhibition on display at the Christina Parker Gallery in St. John's NL, and one of her original paintings will be raffled as part of the upcoming art show this July — a wonderful opportunity to experience and even take home her work! 🖌 What to bring:
• 2 large (22x30) watercolour sheets
• 1 medium canvas or board
• Brushes (medium to large)
• Fluid acrylics (red, yellow, blue, white)
• Palette, scraping tools, rags & water containers

💲 $65 per person
👥 Limited to 15 participants

🥪 Includes a 40-minute lunch break—bring your own or grab a bite at the Waterwitch Café onsite.

The Faeries are coming!!! Save the date as you don't want to miss this event!!

Faeries are coming to the Cupids Legacy Centre for a magical evening of storytelling with the St. John’s Storytellers! This all-family event promises an enchanting night filled with wonder, imagination, and unforgettable tales for all ages.

The event begins at 7:00 PM, 20th June, and admission is only $10.00. Gather your family and friends and step into an evening of magic together. Don’t miss this special night of faeries and storytelling!

This morning, Memorial University will confer the degree of doctor of laws, honoris causa, upon Jean Claude Roy for his immense talent and prolific art, and for his legacy of observing, capturing and celebrating Newfoundland and Labrador’s rich geography and cultural heritage.

The countdown to the season is on!

While the doors may not be open just yet, our staff are busy behind the scenes getting the museum ready for another year of welcoming visitors. From preparing displays to adding the finishing touches throughout the building, every detail is part of getting ready to share the history and stories of Cupids once again. We can’t wait to see everyone soon!
