Something wicked has taken over Mackin House Museum!

Follow the displays as it takes you through the early creepy history of cabinet of curiosities, a view of our vintage doll collection, and immersive yourself in the story of our Halloween themed displays.

Snacks, drinks, and craft activities provided, and visitors will receive a free polaroid in our photo space.

Please Note: This event may not be suitable to those sensitive to flashing lights.

Friday, October 30th from 5 PM - 8 PM.

September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, often referred to as Orange Shirt Day. It’s a day of reflection on and acknowledgment of the history of residential schools in Canada and the lasting impacts they’ve had on Indigenous people in Canada.

Coquitlam Heritage gratefully operates on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Kwikwetlem First Nation, who continues to live on these lands and care for them, along with the waters and all that is above and below. These lands are also the traditional territory of the Tsleil-Waututh, Qaqayt, and Katzie First Nations.

We encourage folks to take today to reflect on our shared history, educate themselves about the land we live upon, and show their support for local Indigenous communities.

🎃 Heritage Halloween: Our Biggest Halloween Event!

Walk through our haunted travelling circus train caboose, make crafts, get candy, and check out our spooky cabinet of curiosities displays in the Museum.

👻 Paranormal Investigation Night: Learn the History of Ghost Stories

Led by with Gina Armstrong and Victoria Vancek from Haunted History BC, they’ll talk about their experiences learning about the paranormal, introduce guests to their equipment, and do a live demonstration of their investigation inside the Museum.

It’ll be the perfect October outing for history lovers or paranormal enthusiasts. Do you dare to join us?

Saturday, October 24 from 5 PM - 6:30 PM and 7 PM – 8:30 PM.
Registration Required. $35 Per Person. Recommended for ages 12+

Thank you to everyone who came to our Mid-Autumn Moon Celebration at Mackin Park!

We were lucky to have both excellent weather, and an excellent turnout. Guests got to experience a traditional lion dance up-close and personal, learn dance steps to popular K-Pop routines, attend a demonstration of mooncake making, among many other festivities. Your support is how we're able to host our cultural events, and we appreciate every single person who joined us!
