Nipissing Township Museum The Nipissing Township Museum preserves and displays heritage items from the Township of Nipissing

The museum is open seasonally in the summer and admission is by donation.

Beginning June 1st Public Works will be replacing a culvert on Pilgers Road. During the work Pilgers Road will be closed to all traffic between 109 Pilgers and Simulium Drive. The work is expected to be completed by June 15th, 2026.

We thank you for your understanding and patience as the Township completes this important infrastructure improvement.

Comments and input must be received in writing no later than 12:00 (Noon) on Friday, May 29, 2026 in order to be included with the Council packages for consideration.

So, you want to run for Council?

Potential candidates, their families, and anyone interested in learning more about local government is invited to attend a free Candidate Information Workshop to gain a better understanding of Council's roles and responsibilities as well as the impact public office can have on one's life.

This event will cover topics like municipal powers, the difference between governance and administration, and municipal conflict of interest and other personal responsibilities. It will feature speaker Nigel Bellchamber, who has been guiding elected and appointed officials for more than 20 years.

Bring your questions on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 6 p.m. at North Bay's City Hall, in the Council Chambers on the second floor. This event is being hosted by the City of North Bay, the Township of Nipissing, the Municipality of Powassan, and The Municipality of Callander.

This event was originally scheduled for Thursday, April 23, but had to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Please be advised Wolfe Lake Road will be closed to traffic from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on April 27th and April 28th between Wolfe Lake Beach to Green Acres to allow for culvert replacements. The road will be open to traffic each night.

As of April 15, 2026 Pilgers Road Bridge is now open. All lanes are now open on Alsace Road.
