A nearby ridge of the Livingstone Range is a pivotal landmark for migrating eagles, who use the unique wind conditions in the spring and fall to catch updrafts during their migration.
The Blackfoot name for the ridge, Piitaistakis, means “The Place of Eagles”.

The Crowsnest Museum could use your help.

If you're able we would love your support for the 2027 Harvest of Memories. Items for the Online Silent Auction are needed along with financial donations, sponsorships, bottles of wine for the Raffle, and this year we are focusing on raising extra funds to restore the front facade of our beautiful building. If you or your business would like to contribute, please reach out to us.

And don't forget to buy a ticket!

Miners were often responsible for storing and detonating their own dynamite. Local stories tell of a bachelor who invited friends over for dinner and started to preheat his oven, forgetting that he kept dynamite inside. The resulting explosion blew the guests out of the house and ruined dinner, but no one was badly injured.

We had such a great time running our first ever Twilight Walk where we explored Coleman's dark history and encountered some nocturnal friends! A special thank you to the local businesses and organizations who supported this program, and thank you everyone who attended. We hope to run this program again!

Stay tuned, and stay spooky 🦇

It's time for our annual museum fundraising event: Harvest of Memories!
On Saturday, September 26th, at the Crowsnest Museum, celebrate our historical building's 90th birthday with a night of good food, fun games, auctions, live music by Kevin Smith, and more! Come as you are or wear your best (or tackiest) "prom" costume for your chance to win a prize. All proceeds from this event go to supporting the museum and to help restore the aging façade in our "Bricks of Legacy" campaign!

If you are a local business or creator, we would very much appreciate any support you can offer! Reach out to us at [email protected] if you would like to make a donation of auctionable items, services, or money to support local heritage.
