Route 22 proudly presents our next SOLO Exhibition in our downtown Cochrane Gallery location.

“AyEye @ R.22” – Art Exhibition featuring the art of local visual artist Rick Ducommun.

Stop by and experience how Rick’s exhibition explores Alberta’s realities through colour, movement, and emotion, offering a personal perspective without judgment or blame.

These non-representational paintings are rooted in three themes: Rhythm and Harmony; Dust, Smoke And Fog; and Transitioning.

This exhibition builds on an extensive creative practice, including three solo shows, commissioned works, and pieces held in private and institutional collections across Canada and the United States.

Gaze | Meet The Artist

Stop by Route 22 Gallery for our current solo art exhibition featuring the art of local visual artist Ele Davis!

This exhibition explores the delicate boundary between external vulnerability and internal sanctuary.

One portrait demands quiet confrontation through an unblinking, introspective presence, while another captures a visceral, instinctual act of self-preservation.

Ultimately, these pieces do not exist in a vacuum; it is the viewer’s own gaze that completes their meaning, bridging the gap between the eyes that watch and the hands that hide.

Meet The Artist:

- 10 AM - 5 PM on September 5th
- 1:30 PM - 5 PM on September 6th

A monthly series featuring the artworks and exploration on themes that lend inspiration and creativity to our Artist Collective Members.

Celebrating the final stretch of summer, the warmth of long days, the freedom of time spent outdoors, and the joy of making the most of the season before autumn arrives.

As August unfolds, summer begins to feel a little more fleeting. The days remain warm and bright, inviting us to linger outside just a little longer, take the scenic route, and savour the moments that make the season special.

From late-summer adventures and mountain getaways to prairie walks, family gatherings, and quiet evenings beneath the setting sun, August encourages us to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the present.

Exploring the Art of Collage Workshops!

Join Susan Ballantine for a day of creativity in this beginner-friendly collage workshop!

Using paint, paper, shape, and colour, you’ll be guided through the process of developing your own unique artwork. Susan will provide demonstrations, examples, and supportive guidance while participants share ideas and explore creative possibilities together.

All supplies will be included, however, you're more than welcome to bring any personal papers, photos, or images you'd like to incorporate into your piece.

No experience is necessary, just come ready to experiment and have fun!
