An exciting new escape room launches next month at the CKM... Night at the Museum: The Escape Room Experience

The lights dim. The doors lock. An ancient mystery awakens... Deep within the museum lies a secret waiting to be uncovered as a strange new artifact has been donated to the museum and it holds a powerful curse. After 6:00 PM, the doors seal shut, trapping every visitor inside.

Follow the clues, decipher hidden messages, and unlock the answers to break the ancient spell before time expires.

Submit your guesses in person at either the Ridge House Museum or the Milner Heritage House for a chance to win weekly prizes, drawn from all correct entries. Or simply post your guess in the comments to be entered into the contest as well.

Don't miss out! Your last day to visit the Ridge House Museum and Milner Heritage House this summer season is Sunday, August 30 and there is so much to see and do!

At Ridge House Museum, step back in time with a guided tour of the restored heritage home and see what a middle-class life was like in 1875 Ridgetown. In the Discovery Den, discover life in Chatham-Kent during the last Ice Age. After your tour, walk around the grounds and enjoy the Pollinator Patch – a mix of Ontario native plants and heritage flowers developed in partnership with the Ridgetown & District Horticultural Society .

At Milner Heritage House, explore the home life of successful industrialist, Robert Milner, and his family in 1905 Chatham. In the exhibition gallery, learn all about our local birds with the Specimens & Storytellers exhibition produced in partnership with NatureCK Nature CK.

Tours at our heritage house sites are primarily led by our summer students. These positions are funded through the Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations program. The Municipality of Chatham-Kent gratefully acknowledges the Government of Canada, Canadian Heritage for its investment in youth employment and heritage preservation through this important program.
