We end Museum Month with highlighting The Thamesville Old Town Hall Museum! Ontario Museum Association

Built in 1911, the building has served as a school, library, fire station, police station, council chambers and clerk’s office, often simultaneously.

In addition to artifacts and information, the museum is pleased to display a 4 by 8 ft model of the village circa 1942 and a Loyalist land deed dated 1796.

The Tecumseh Parkway is a driving route running along the Thames River that traces the October 1813 pursuit of the British and First Nations armies by the Americans that culminated in the Battle of the Thames, the death of Tecumseh, and the burning of the Moravian village of Fairfield.

Celebrating Museum Month with the Wallaceburg and District Museum! Ontario Museum Association

It is owned and operated by the Wallaceburg and District Historical Society. It consists of various collections centered on the social and industrial heritage of the area, including the Glass Gallery, Frank Mann Research Room, industry and commerce displays, the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame and the Von Ayres Cultural Center / Jeanne Gordon Hall.

Exhibits:

⭐ Rotating monthly displays presented by the Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts are also included.

➡ Currently the Ariel Mann has a display on the Women of Wallaceburg as well as a tribute display to Herman Giethoorn a local awarded winning photographer and field naturalist.

We continue to celebrate Museum Month with Milner House Museum! Ontario Museum Association

📣Mark your calendars, Milner House Museum opens June 1, 2026 until August 31, 2026‼️

Exhibits:

➡ Our staff are busy preparing a new exhibit called ‘Specimens & Storytellers’, that’s features historic taxidermy – including examples of extinct species, hand‑carved waterfowl decoys, and photography from local naturalist, Herman Giethoorn.

Programs:

A brand new escape room experience arrives this summer at the Milner Heritage House! The Mystery of the Midnight Ball ... A puzzling scandal, a trail of clues, and a mystery so deliciously dramatic that only the sharpest minds may solve it.
