This picture was taken in 1945. After being mined, ore went to the mill for beneficiation, smelting, refining and then was poured into gold bricks. This mold now sits in the Bralorne Pioneer Museum. The equipment that you see being used has recently been donated to the Museum.

This picture is from 1933, it was copied from an e-mail. The interested party is wanting to know if anyone remembers a fellow called THE MAJOR his correct name J.R. Benson and he is here with his sister named Mary Benson. Apparently he knew Will Haylmore and Grandmother Wihksne. I had Rick Benson contact Johnny Wihksne but the issue has not been solved. Its a stab in the dark but just maybe someone might recognize the name THE MAJOR.

Good morning, the Bralorne Pioneer Museum has just received another 6 new books to add to our collection. The Museum is open Saturday, Sunday and Monday till June 29, 2026. Tomorrow there will be Chocolate Brownies added to our Snack Section.

Remember, we are open Saturday, Sunday and Monday till June 29, 2026 at that point we will be open one more day. But until then, why not come up and see our 20 boxes of pictures that represent some of the best history in the Province of British Columbia. We are closing in on 4800 completed pictures and a huge amount still to be catalogued.
