Due to the lack of interest in this year’s bus trip, Maribeth and I have just decided to cancel it.
However, we thought we would arrange a trip for next year, heading to Bird-in-Hand in Pennsylvania in April
I have been doing some research this morning and have discovered that there is a FREE quilt and vendors show April 10 -13, so our trip dates would be April 7th to 14th 2024.
Let me know if you are interested

After a very trying couple of months, Maribeth and I have made the decision to sever our connection with the Settlers Village Quilter Guild.
We are still willing to organize the bus trip for a group of ladies just wanting to get away, have some fun, revisited with friends and of course do some shopping.
After three years of cancellations due to COVID, Maribeth and I are finally excited to share that we are busy planning our trip to Vermont this year, departing June 18th and returning June 25th. We are hoping to have the itinerary and pricing finalized and out to you by the middle to end of February.
Send me an email at [email protected] if you are interested in joining us this year.

It is with great sadness that I share we have lost another amazing quilter. Heather Fraser. After a valiant fight with Cancer, Heather passed away last Tuesday. Heather was very involved with the Peterborough Quilts for Cancer.

If all goes well, this time next year, we will be on a bus heading to Vermont for a week of fun and fellowship
Anyone interested on joining us, send me a message🤞

Hello, fellow quilters,

I am the proudest big sister just now. Some of you will remember my sister, Joan Kilpatrick, who was a member of the Settlers Village Guild while I was in Bobcaygeon. Joan has taken up fibre arts and has been creating some amazing pieces. She entered 2 pieces in the show run by the Grand National Fibre Art Exhibition. The theme was Crossroads. Both of Joan’s pieces were accepted and I just watched on Zoom as the opening of the show (in Fredericton, NB) was broadcast. Joan won the Grand Prize. I’m surprised she didn’t hear my scream in Ontario. 🥴

It’s official....

I’m writing to you because Joan always tells people that the first quilting guild she belonged to was in Bobcaygeon. She remembers how welcoming everyone was and how encouraging. With this win, Joan feels her work has been validated.

The show will be going on tour across Canada for the next 18 months. Joan hopes to see it in the fall in Woodstock. She and I are planning a trip to see the show in Victoria next spring.🤞👍

Take care, all of you, and stay safe.
Mary
