Big Valley Historical Society

Big Valley Historical Society The Big Valley Historical Society is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of heritage sites and artifacts.

The Big Valley Historical Society started in the early 1970's as a group of dedicated people decided to restore the 1916 Anglican church and our Canadian Northern 1912 railway station. We have been active ever since in maintaining several heritage sites (the blue church on the hill, our Alberta Wheat Pool elevator and a 1930's garage.) In addition we have an extensive collection of artifacts, anti

que cars and tractors and memorabilia. We have a huge collection of over 15,000 hand tools, and another collection of over 1500 salt and pepper shakers.
