Meet Delinda, the iconic alpha female of Banff National Park’s Bow Valley wolf pack. She joined the pack in 2004 and roamed the valley until 2008, becoming a local legend. She was the first animal to receive an obituary in Maclean’s magazine and graced the cover of Canadian Geographic in 2009.
Join us at Canada House Gallery on Saturday, October 3, for a special opportunity to meet the photographer who captured this incredible moment and the artist who painted her portrait at Canada House Gallery on Saturday, October 3!

Big in presence and full of character, Meadow is a life-sized moose sculpture by Cedar Mueller Art that makes an unforgettable statement.

Crafted from upcycled car parts and rusted metal, Meadow reflects Cedar's passion for giving discarded materials a new life. She began creating sculptures from rusted metal collected from old farms and ranches in her hometown, transforming forgotten pieces into remarkable works of art.

A striking blend of strength, sustainability, and craftsmanship, Meadow is sure to be a conversation piece wherever it stands.

New Work by Stewart Steinhauer

We are pleased to introduce a new collection of stone sculptures by Cree ceremonialist Stewart Steinhauer.

Carving stone since 1973, Steinhauer approaches his practice as both an art form and a spiritual practice rooted in Cree worldview and ceremony.

For Steinhauer, granite carries the presence of the Rock Grandmother and Rock Grandfather, ancient spiritual beings who connect humanity with the natural world.

Each sculpture is shaped through this relationship between stone, spirit, and ceremony, offering a lasting expression of the earth and its enduring stories.

Now available at Canada House Gallery.

National Indigenous Peoples Day

Today, we honour and celebrate the incredible contributions, cultures, histories, and artistic traditions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.

We are proud to share the work of Indigenous artists whose voices, stories, and creative practices continue to enrich and inspire our communities.

Canada House Gallery respectfully acknowledges that we are located within the traditional territories recognized by Treaty 7 (1877) and Treaty 1895, and on lands that hold deep significance for the Ktunaxa, Secwépemc (Shuswap), Métis, Dene, Tsuut’ina, Mountain Cree, Siksika and Blackfoot, and Stoney Nakoda Nations.

Today and every day, we remain committed to honouring Indigenous voices and supporting the continuation of these rich artistic legacies.

🍁 **Upcoming Artist Demonstration | June 25–28** 🍁

Join us at Canada House Gallery for a special painting demonstration with acclaimed Okanagan artist from **June 25th–28th**.

For more than three decades, Jan's artistic journey has explored the essence of Canadian cultural identity through ceramics, printmaking, photography, and acrylic painting. Her iconic images of fruit jars, picking ladders, pails, and orchard artifacts go beyond nostalgia—they preserve the stories, traditions, and heritage that have shaped generations of Canadians.

Inspired by the landscapes and agricultural history of the Okanagan, Jan's work celebrates the everyday objects that have evolved into powerful symbols of identity, memory, and place.

Stop by the gallery to meet Jan, watch her creative process unfold, and learn more about the stories behind her distinctive Canadian artwork.
