We’ve known Jean-Marie Poiré as a photographer, the hard rock singer of Les Frenchies, and the author of a memoir, « Rire est une fête. » However, his fame rests on his career as a screenwriter and director of numerous cult films.
Today, we discover him as a painter! Yes, Jean-Marie paints. Was this talent missing from his repertoire? I don’t think so. He simply wanted to try it out, just to see… It’s like if, passing by a piano, and not being a musician, I lifted the lid and tapped a few keys, thinking, « I should give it a go one of these days. » I never did, but Jean-Marie dove headfirst into painting.
