VENUS FAVOURS THE BOLD

This September, I’m joining forces with Subspace for something a little different in the heart of the Sablon.

For Brussels Art Square 2026, we’re bringing together contemporary art, eroticism and fe**sh culture for a four-day group exhibition exploring desire, sensuality, fantasy, power and the body.

Photography, painting, drawing and sculpture will take over Subspace — from the exhibition spaces to some rather less conventional corners of the venue.

Expect works that seduce, surprise and provoke.
Expect rope.
Expect performance.
Expect a few surprises.

Not everything will be hanging on the walls.

I’m very happy to share that Onno Theelen (b. 1996) will present his first solo museum exhibition, Vreemde Snuiters, at the Purmerends Museum.

Working in ceramic, Theelen creates a world where animals take center stage—somewhere between folklore, fable, and fantasy. His sculptures mirror human behavior with humor, tenderness, and a quiet sense of strangeness.

The exhibition brings together a vibrant group of characters, each with its own presence and story, drawing from myths and storytelling traditions across cultures.
