I love producing H**p paper, the first sheets of paper produced by the ancient Chinese around 105 AD was made from h**p!

We use those same traditional methods and techniques today
here at Creative Paper Tasmania.

Let’s make a Wombat,
Community Project Update!

What an incredible few weeks it has been!

Since starting our wombat in March, we’ve now welcomed over 330 people to our hands-on papermaking tours. Each visitor creates their own sheet of handmade paper, which is then added to our growing papier-mâché wombat. Every piece contributes to a shared community artwork, with its own story.

Here are just a few photos of the wonderful people who have helped bring the wombat to life over the past few weeks. ❤️
