Hemlock’s is on the lookout for quality pre-loved books to give a second life on our shelves. 🌿

We’re especially looking for:

📖 Fiction
🇦🇺 Australian-based writers
🏛️ Classics
🕰️ Vintage books
🌿 Australian nature, flora & fauna

**Book donations are very welcome**, but we kindly ask that donated books are in **good, clean condition** and ready for their next reader.

Please **no books with pests, heavy dust, mould or damage, and no ex-library books.**

For **exceptional books in good condition**, we may also offer **cash**, depending on the title and suitability for our collection.

Have a box of beautiful books sitting at home that deserve another reader? Bring them into Hemlock’s and let us take a look. 💚

🔥Hemlocks Phase 2 has begun…..
If you’re not seeing me in the early mornings as much, I’m stepping a little off the tools to bring the next stage of Hemlock’s. It is time to strengthen what we have built and bringing the ideas I’ve had for some time to you all and to life. There’s a lot of work to do but I can’t wait to get it happening and to share it with you all. ❤️ Thank you all for supporting us and shopping local.

A Story Worth Reading 📖

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Julia Delaforce and hearing a little about the story behind her powerful book, Treatment of a Woman in the Military.

⚠️ Trigger warning: This book contains accounts and discussion of abuse, sexual harassment and trauma experienced by women in the military.

It’s a deeply personal account exploring her experiences and the treatment of women within the military — a difficult but important story that deserves to be heard.

We’re really proud to now have Julia’s book stocked here at Hemlock’s. ❤️
