OPEN as usual today, 9am-4pm!
The coffee machine is ready to go, our homemade cakes are all stocked up, and Toni is ready in the kitchen for those breakfast and lunch orders! ☕️🍰🍳
The underground tours are also running today if you’re looking for something to do, or simply come and enjoy the beauty and history of the grounds maintained and looked after by our amazing volunteers! ☺️

Did you know that everything on our menu except for our pancakes and fruit toast can be made Gluten Free? Even our Fish and Chips! (We make our own Gluten Free b**r batter ☺️)

Nothing containing Gluten touches our fryers, plus we are equipped with seperate equipment to eliminate cross contamination. Although we are not completely Coeliac safe, we can guarantee a yummy Gluten free Breakfast or Lunch!

Don’t forget our selection of homemade Gluten Free Cakes!! 🍰 🧁

Any other dietary restrictions? Feel free to speak to one of our chefs as we make pretty much everything on site and can tell you exactly what we are using!

P.S. We’re open 7 days a week, 364 days a year! Call us crazy but we love what we do, and don’t worry- the staff get plenty of time to relax (especially Riley, he loves a chat!) 🥰

Cookie Cake! Celebrating a special occasion? Or just love our cookies as much as we do? You choose the flavour, colour scheme and writing, then we create the perfect cookie for the occasion! For our Gluten intolerant friends, we can also make a gluten free version 🍪🥳

Thank-you to everyone who has purchased something from the Wonthaggi Owl Ute Pantry table, and to everyone who supports us here at the cafe. It is thanks to you that we are able to give back to the community and support our local pantry that helps those who need it! For over year now we have been able to help make contributions to ensure no one is in a position where they have to go hungry or struggle for necessities. It is a pleasure to work with the amazing people who organise and run the pantry!
By simply popping in for a coffee, brekkie, or lunch, you are also making a difference to those in the community so Thankyou! 😊🙌🏻

We are hiring- Casual cook position!

As our amazing Toni has begun her new venture as a TAFE teacher, we have a gap to fill in the kitchen. We are looking for a casual cook for a few days a week, with more hours over school holidays and to cover time off for other staff.

Experience is preferred but not essential as we are happy to provide all training for the right person ☺️
Hours are typically 9-3.30/4 and we are open 7 days a week so can be flexible with availability.

Following an extensive process of trial and error, staff persuasion for taste testing, and incorporation of feedback from valued regular customers, we are finally happy to offer a Gluten free scone and passionfruit cake!
We love making our own cakes and slices so if there is anything you would like to see at the cafe, let us know 🧁🍰

New menu items added! We have put a twist on a couple of meals that we know you have missed and bought them back for our winter menu . You’ll also see our homemade rosti back, starring on our big veggie brekkie, in the popular brekkie brioche, and not to forget the miners breakfast.
