With our new (returning) caretaker in position we will be open 9am to 4pm every day from today- 12th July. Garry is back.

Please note our Museum will be opening restricted hours- 11am - 4pm 7 days a week until further notice. We apologise for this change.

LATE NEWS- Sunday (12th) we will open at 9am- our loyal volunteer- Dougie- will be onsite as usual. Please call in and say hello and visit our Western Transport display, the Mack truck shed, our Kenworths, our vintage smaller trucks and cars and also the Crocodile Dundee Truck which is our most recent addition.
Our museum is reliant on volunteers to keep the doors open- thank you to all who have filled this position over our many years of operation.

Opera Queensland gave students from UQ the Western Transport stage to perform on. A first for them, and definitely for us.

I am fairly sure that this is a first for Western Transport, I know it is for our Museum. The Opera Queensland Tiny Concert was staged in our Western Transport display area, this morning, with the Dodge becoming the stage. Thank you Opera Queensland for making this one off event possible.

For all those that have wondered what else we could do at the Museum. We have an Opera Queensland Tiny Concert amongst the Trucks tomorrow at 10am. Come out to the Museum to hear Opera Singers accompanied by a keyboard- an opportunity that does not happen every day.

Between the headline performances, discover music in unexpected places with our tiny concerts at the Festival of Outback Opera. Scattered across the week, these pop-up performances bring the power of song to the streets and gathering places for attendees and passersby alike. 🎶

Yes we are open everyday- 9am to 4pm. Call in if you are in the area. We have trucks, cars, steam engines, history to read, and merchandise. From Steam engines to a London taxi to Macks, Kenworths, Leaders, Atkinsons and Inters plus others too numerous to mention.
