Our lovely town of Wickepin was the
mystery destination for the Narrogin Probus Travel Club Group last Friday.

Tarling was the first Wickepin stop, then it was onto the Albert Facey Homestead, the Heritage Walking Trail, which includes the Railway Station building and the Toolseum.

Lunch was then served for our visitors in the Supper Room at our hall. Many thanks again to all our volunteers 😊.

The Albert Facey Homestead crew were proud to host what we believe is our first intimate morning tea on the verandah of the Homestead on the weekend.

Two of our four visitors were from Switzerland and were thrilled to have the extensive guided tour conducted by our Homestead expert Charlotte. This was a return visit to WA for one of them who had spent time in Perth with a host family and as part of their English learning adventure, had read ‘A Fortunate Life’ and consequently fell in love with Albert’s story.

Such an awesome spring day today hosting a group from the University of the Third Age Armadale. They enjoyed a lovely lunch in the supper room at the Wickepin Town Hall followed by a wander through the homestead, railway station house, toolseum and a stroll along our walk trail. They also managed to snap up some local memorabilia and goodies thanks to the Wickepin Community Resource Centre. Many thanks again to all our amazing volunteers 😊.

Today we hosted the Spring Farm Tour 2025 thanks to Quadrant Australia. A lovely day was had by all who visited our wonderful Homestead, Trail Walk, Toolseum and enjoyed a lovely lunch at our Railway Station House. Many thanks to all our volunteers for all their tireless efforts 😊.

Hi all, we have been busy giving the Homestead a cleanup and are excited for our visit from the Narembeen Autumn Club this week. A big thank you to Heather for a fantastic job polishing all the silver ware.

Hi all, on Saturday we held the 100 year celebration of the Albert Facey Homestead 1924-2024. This event was sponsored by the Shire of Wickepin and the Albert Facey Homestead Reference Group.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our hard working committee, volunteers, special guests and all attendees. This was a momentous day for all involved and a great success showcasing the Wickepin camaraderie at its best.
