🌟Alanna Beck Godfrey🌟

Alanna is a perpetual explorer.
Nursing, art school, hospitality and music drive her eclectic pallet and skill set.
Ceramics, kilnformed glass, minor species Tasmanian timbers, textiles, upcycled and repurposed objects are moulded into jewellery, tableware, wall and sculptural pieces.
Driven by a busy brain, she loves texture, colour, organic form and the ocean.

Today we said goodbye to our beautiful Stanley, our much-loved Border Collie of 13 years.

Stanley was a familiar and much-loved face around The Pear Shed Gallery and The Picker’s Pantry. He had a way of making himself known to customers, visitors and locals alike, and over the years he became part of the fabric of our little corner of the Tasman Peninsula.

We will miss him terribly. Our orchard, gallery and The Pickers Pantry will feel a little quieter without him. ❤️🐾

The Pear Shed Gallery warmly welcomes our guest artist exhibition for this month, Joy Mackey

“Connected” is a collection of sixteen small abstract paintings that explores the relationships within ourselves, our surroundings, and our experiences. The paintings are created intuitively, with each mark and layer building upon the last, resulting in a dynamic interplay between intention and chance. Although abstract, the works subtly reflect the landscapes of Dodges Ferry her home region, through elements like colour and texture. Mackey’s practice is centred on the concept of connection, influenced by her background as an art teacher, which has encouraged her to embrace experimentation and uncertainty. The paintings, while individually distinct, are interconnected through shared elements, inviting viewers to engage with them and discover personal connections.

Fabienne is a local ceramic artist.
Her passion is creating sculptural works who she lovingly calls " Wild Forest Nymphs".
Fabienne's Nymphs tell the story of her journey as a mother wandering the magical forest of Koonya, creating art inspired by her child.
Fabienne works mainly with clay incorporating wool and wood.
