Please be advised that the Watheroo museum has closed for the season.
We will open again in 2026.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has assisted us since we opened back in July.

Special thanks to Noelene Reed and Valma Bricknell who have been simply fantastic.

We have an amazing group of people who have donated items to the museum and going into 2026, we will have new items, displays and photos to show. Thankyou to our amazing local families who have contributed so many incredible items to the Museum.

See you back next season, bigger and better 😀

Mary and Rayelene

What a day, the Watheroo museum was officially opened by Mrs Jan Millsteed at 9:30 (ish) this morning.

We have had a lot of amazing people through the doors today and tomorrow is looking like it will be busy as well.

Massive thanks to everyone who has made a contribution to help us get to this point.

While the pressure is off to get it all set up, we are now in the drivers seat to having a great venue and a long lasting place to remember the past.

Thankyou to all those who came along to enjoy the day, and special thanks to those who bought along some more amazing items to add to our already incredible collection.

Tomorrow is the big day. We will be having our official opening at 9:30am.

Entry will be $5 and we will have tea, coffee and some yummy morning tea and light snacks available.

We still have lots of work to do to get our museum up to a higher standard, but we have worked very hard to get to a place where we are proud to open our doors to the public. It is certainly a work in progress, with a lot more work to be completed.

We are on the way to greatness! See you there........

We have a few week ahead to make sure we have everything in place, and then the doors will open.

We are looking forward to hosting the community both past and present in the Watheroo Hall on Sunday 6th July 2025.
