Unfortunately since the fire next door we are still unable to open the museum due to no power. We are waiting for insurance and the electrician to restore the power. Hopefully this will happen soon and we can open up our doors.

Happy New Year to all. May this new year bring happiness and joy as well as good health and peace.
The Museum will be closed indefinitely due to a fire next door.
Hopefully we will be up and running again soon.

Hi everyone my apologies for not being able to open every Tuesday unfortunately I am tied up for a while and won’t be able to open up possibly for the next month or so. Please feel free to see the friendly staff at the information centre if you would like to have a look in the museum and if there are a few people who wish to have a look on a certain date then it can be arranged.
Due to unavailability of volunteers the museum will remain closed.

Did you know that the Museum has dinosaur bones? Who would have thought that they were found not far from Walgett town! We are trying to do our best to open one day a week but would love to be open for more days. If you are interested in joining us please let us know.

I am opening the museum from 10am till noon tomorrow.

So now that I have your attention I will be opening the Museum Tuesday morning from 10 AM till noon or longer depending on interest. I am thinking of having a guessing game on various things to see who knows what an item is and what its purpose is. Hope to see you call in and have a look around. Will post the date of first opening soon……………..

Trying something out for a while and will see how it works. The Historical Society will be opening the Museum once a week on a Tuesday morning from 10.30am until noon. Some Tuesdays might be a little challenging so just check with the information centre just to make sure we are open.
