📣THE SURVEY RESULTS ARE IN
Well gosh, 116 detailed responses recieved and honestly, we are still all a little blown away. 🥰
When we put the Rain Moth Gallery Community Survey out into the world, we genuinely didn't know what kind of response we'd receive. So to have 116 people take the time to stop, think about this little gallery and generously tell us what they value, what's working, what could be better and what they'd love to see in its future has meant an enormous amount.
Thank you. Truly ☺️
We have now worked through all of that feedback and put together a brief public summary of what we heard, which you can read below

Behind this sits a much larger body of work that has been provided to our existing committee and will be carried forward for the incoming committee following our AGM in November. We would really love to see some fresh faces around that table too 😉 So many of the ideas you've shared are possible, but they need people. New energy, new perspectives, volunteers, committee members and people who simply care about seeing Rain Moth continue to grow and thrive.
But, in saying that, there are already big things happening.
Some really exciting conversations and plans were underway before this survey even opened, and we'll be able to share more about those over the coming weeks. What your feedback has done though is give us enormous confirmation that many of those conversations are heading in exactly the direction our community is asking us to go.
It has also made it very clear where our attention needs to go next.
We won't be able to do everything at once, and some ideas will take more time, people and resources than others. But we didn't ask you what you thought just to tuck 116 responses away in a folder somewhere and forget about it. We asked because we wanted to listen, and now we want to keep bringing you along as we work through what comes next, so please stay tuned.
Like and share our posts, come through the doors, tell your friends, volunteer, consider joining the committee, or simply keep being part of the conversation.
From me personally, thank you for the trust, generosity and encouragement you've shown while I've been leading this consultation process and putting it all together. And an even bigger thank you to the volunteers, artists and committee members who have been carrying and caring for Rain Moth Gallery for many years before I wandered through the door.
There's so much worth building on here and we are only just getting started.
