About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Welding Labourer to join our team. In this position, you’ll assist in the preparation, assembly, and finishing of metal products. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while learning valuable trade skills in a hands-on setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with setup, preparation, and cleanup of welding work areas
• Operate hand tools, grinders, and other basic fabrication equipment
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces
• Move and position parts using a forklift, or manual handling techniques
• Inspect and organise materials to ensure quality and readiness for production
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a safe and orderly condition
• Follow all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and company procedures
• Perform general labour and support tasks as assigned
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, metalworking, or construction environment preferred
• NSW White card is essential
• Forklift license and experience in using a forklift preferred
• Basic understanding of welding, fabrication, or mechanical work a plus
• Ability to read and follow instructions, measurements, and safety guidelines
• Physically able to lift to 40kgs and stand for long periods
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills
