One of the things I love about seeing a painting placed in an interior is how much its surroundings can change what you notice in the work.

In one space, the warmer rust, blush and earthy tones in Between Words come forward. In the other, the cooler lavender and softer grey tones become more noticeable.

A little milestone for my Fine Art Prints! This one is heading all the way to the USA 🇺🇸

You Set My Soul Alight was originally painted at 150 × 150 cm, and seeing it reproduced at this scale is pretty special.

Printed here in Melbourne as a Giclée Fine Art Print on 410gsm premium cotton canvas, this one will soon be on its way to its new home in the US.

Art has a way of changing the whole feeling of a room.

The first layers.

I love how these initial washes seep into the canvas almost like a stain. Once they dry, the colour softens and fades before I begin building the layers over them.

This has become the starting point for so much of my recent work.

The new paintings I’m working on at the moment are sitting somewhere between small and medium-large in scale. I’m enjoying exploring this new body of work at these sizes before taking it larger.

In the meantime, I still have two large original works available from previous collections — Unfolding in Motion and Like a Dream Come Alive, both 150 × 160 cm.

Large-scale painting has always been a big part of my practice, but for now, these are the two largest available works in the studio.

Both are framed in natural oak and available to view on my website.
