Noojee Heritage Centre

Noojee Heritage Centre The Noojee Heritage Centre showcases the history, culture, and stories of the Noojee region, paying heartfelt tribute to the area’s rich heritage.

This destination is a must-see for history buffs, train enthusiasts or just visiting! The precinct is a project close to many people’s hearts. It began as a dream in 2005! What motivated us was to recognise the efforts of the many men and women pioneers and great Aussie battlers who shaped our heritage. It is a destination of historical and cultural significance, as well as a focal point for our
c

ommunity to be reminded of our character and identity. The precinct showcases:
- Noojee Heritage Centre with the J550 Steam locomotive display
▪ Railway Goods Shed
▪ Graeme Brown Snr Memorial Park with paling saw display
▪ Chain saw carving artworks by Paul Stafford
▪ Recognition of Aboriginal culture and heritage
▪ Timber rail displays
▪ Start of the Small Transport Victoria Noojee Rail trail and tramway walk and cycling adventure
