The Drill Hall Studio Art & handmade gift gallery, sculpture garden & working studios, set in a heritage listed Army Hall. Welcome to the Drill Hall Studio.

Set in a lovely restored old building - one of only two pre Federation Drill Halls left in Queensland. Situated less than a block from both Townsville's beautiful Strand, and the Gregory Street Café Precinct, it is Townsville's newest Art Centre with sculpture garden, exhibition space, working studios with resident artists, as well as retail art, décor and funky up-cycled clothing. The Drill Hall Studio is a welcoming friendly place and is the place to shop for art, cool stuff, gifts, and do art classes.

We join with ‘Birdlife Townsville’ to present this exhibition, showcasing local and Australian birds. The show celebrates National Bird Week, which is run by Birdlife Australia from 19-25 October. Each year community members participate by counting birds in their backyards as part of the Aussie Bird Count, the biggest citizen science event in Australia.
This exhibition celebrates our birds, captured in photographs, watercolours, pastels, acrylics, oils, ink, as well as in 3 dimensions, and promotes and educates about the Aussie Bird Count.

All welcome , no entry fee.
