You can when you join Alison Velvin of Barrier Reef Glass Beads, for a hands-on 3-hour pearl necklace-making workshop at the Drill Hall Studio in North Ward.
You’ll learn how to design and create your own elegant necklace using genuine freshwater pearls, handcrafted sterling silver chain links and your choice of semi-precious gemstones. No experience is necessary and all materials and tools are provided.

Best of all, you’ll leave with a beautiful necklace that you have designed and made yourself—a piece that reflects your own taste and creativity. Two available dates.

🎨 Meet our Thursday resident artist

If you’re at The Drill Hall Studio Gallery on a Thursday, keep an eye out for Anne McLaughlin, one of our resident artists at work.

You’ll often find her tucked away in the studio, painting and bringing her latest ideas to life. Her work captures the beauty of our North Queensland landscape, with a particular love for the dramatic forms, colour and character of our surrounding mountains and natural environment.

We love that our gallery isn’t just a place to see art, it’s a place where you can actually see artists creating it!!
