🔎 IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS 🔎

Look a little closer at the work of Peggy Napangardi Jones.

Bold colour. Rich, tactile texture. Confident brushwork. Peggy’s distinctive approach to paint and surface is unmistakable, and these details are just one of the things that make her work so compelling.

These close-up views offer a glimpse into the remarkable body of work presented in Peggy Napangardi Jones: A Retrospective, currently on display at Nyinkka Nyunyu Art & Culture Centre.

And if you thought you’d missed it… think again! 👀

Tomorrow is the final day to experience this incredible exhibition in our gallery. Join us between 9am–12pm for one last look.

Don’t miss your last chance to see Peggy’s retrospective at Nyinkka Nyunyu.

Desert Mob 2026 is less than a week away! We're so excited to head down the track to Mparntwe to share some incredible art and stories from the Barkly.

Just yesterday Dorothy Napurrurla Dickson finished this beautiful work depicting Ngurlu (Bush Black Seeds), which will be available to purchase from the Nyinkka Nyunyu stall at next Saturday's Desert Mob Art Market.

You can also hear from two members of the Tennant Creek Brio - Joseph Williams Jungarayi and Fabian Brown Japaljarri - during Friday's Artist Talks at Araluen Art Centre. They'll be speaking on Painting as Protest and their own personal processes of sharing culture, Country and their thoughts on the world through different artistic mediums.

As always, a HUGE thank you to Desart and the Desert Mob team for making this possible. We can't wait to see you there!
