Another plug from our road tripping friends 🚗
Make sure you pop in, and say g'day! We love hearing about where you have come from, and where you are heading. We are 💚 with envy everyday from your travel stories.

Read the Signs!

“Temora Terror”… steady on 😅
Sounds like the kind of place where you pull up for a quick break and end up in a full-blown bush legend story.

Reality check though — it’s actually Paleface Park, a tribute to harness racing champ Paleface Adios… not some outback horror scene.

Still… that name hits a bit different when you roll in late arvo with the shadows creeping in 👀

Would you stop here for a feed… or keep the wheels rolling? 👇

Lest We Forget 🌺

This ANZAC Day, we honour 110 men from Temora and district who served at Gallipoli during the First World War (1914–1918). Of these 110 men, 42 were killed in action — that's 2 in 5 that didn't return home to us.

These men lived and worked in our community —
• 33 labourers
• 28 farmers or farm hands
• 28 business people / employees
• 16 clerks / teachers
• 3 miners
• plus a boxer and a priest

They fell across Gallipoli, France, Belgium, and Egypt/Palestine.

Nine of those who served were well‑known in town as good mates. Only three of those nine returned home; William McMullan, Reginald Williams, and Arthur Ennever. Ennever was promoted to Quarter Master Sergeant in 1918, and Williams was promoted to Sergeant in 1918 and Company Sergeant Major in 1919.

Their fallen mates were:
• William Miller, bookkeeper, killed at Pozieres, France (1916)
• Walter Williams, accountant, killed in Belgium (1917)
• James Fullarton, Master Baker, awarded the Military Medal for courageous reconnoitering in No Man’s Land, killed in Belgium (1917)
• Victor Frewin, schoolteacher, wounded three times — his unit described as one of the finest by a British Brigadier General
• Three of these mates have no known grave; William Miller, Hubert Daly, and Jabez “Bob” Grant.

🌺 We remember them.
🌺 We honour them.
🌺 Lest we forget.

🌏 WORLD HERITAGE DAY 💛

Heritage doesn’t happen by accident — it happens because people care.

Today, we want to acknowledge the incredible volunteers and community members who give their time, energy and heart to this cultural precinct.

From preserving our stories and collections to welcoming visitors and supporting events, your commitment makes heritage a living part of our community.

Thank you for choosing to show up, again and again, for Temora and our shared history. 💛
