Tomorrow night!

Our final committee meeting before the big day, and we’re getting very excited for the official opening of Birdsnest Artspace tomorrow night!

The evening starts at 6pm and there’ll be finger food, light refreshments, artworks for sale, the gallery to explore and our silent auction.

The Birdsnest is almost ready for opening!

After weeks of painting, planning, cleaning, collecting furniture and plenty of hard work from our members, Birdsnest Artspace is almost ready to welcome you.

It’s been wonderful to watch the space transform, and we’re so excited to see it now filled with artwork, creativity and personality. 🎨✨

Can you help us with the finishing touches for the Birdsnest Artspace?

As we get closer to opening, we’re looking for a few pieces of furniture to help complete the space.

If you have anything you’re no longer using and would be happy to donate, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re currently looking for:

• Chairs – they don’t need to match – ideally light weight or foldable
• A large fire guard to go around a pot belly fireplace
• A smallish coffee table
• Floor rugs of any kind

If you have something that might be suitable, please send us a message or get in touch. We’d love to give a few pre-loved pieces a new home in our creative space.

✨ A little glimpse into the vision for Birdsnest Artspace…

At the heart of Birdsnest is our creative community – a place to come together, create, share skills and be inspired.

Our vision is for a vibrant gallery showcasing the work of local makers, alongside a working studio open to all members.

We’re starting small and building from there, with plans for indoor markets that bring our creative community together. A place to discover new mediums, explore creativity, learn new skills or build on the ones you already have.

There’s lots to look forward to, and we’d love you to be part of it.

We thought we'd share a little behind-the-scenes look as our members roll up their sleeves and help transform the space ahead of our anticipated opening in early September.

From painting walls to preparing the studio and gallery, it's exciting to see the vision taking shape. We can't wait to welcome our creative community through the doors soon.
