Invitation to Community Groups / Committees / Service Providers / Business Operators

We would like to invite you to participate in the inaugural "Welcome to Stuart Town" event, to be held on Saturday, 12 September 2026, from 12:00 pm at Moxon Park, Stuart Town.

The event will bring together community groups, committees, service providers, and businesses that support the Stuart Town and surrounding community, each with an information table to showcase the services and activities they provide. In essence, the day will be a community services expo. There is no cost to participate, and attendance is free for both exhibitors and visitors.

With many new residents recently moving to Stuart Town, this event provides an excellent opportunity to promote your services.
We would therefore like to formally invite you to host an information table on the day.

We hope you will be able to join us.

If you would like to book a table, please contact Marcus Hanney on 0417 467 459 or email [email protected]

Supporting Our Historic Stuart Town Hall
The Stuart Town School of Arts Hall is a historic building and has been the heart of our community since 1934.
For generations, it has served as a central gathering place and continues to be proudly run and maintained by the people of Stuart Town and its community groups.
The hall holds countless memories and remains an important part of our town’s history and identity. However, like many historic buildings, ongoing maintenance, repairs and everyday expenses are necessary to ensure it remains available for future generations.
Recently, local residents and community groups came together to discuss ways to support and preserve our hall. In a wonderful show of community spirit, local groups have committed to sacrificing one of their own Friday night raffles to support the hall. Funds raised from these raffles will be donated to the Hall Committee to assist with essential repairs, maintenance and ongoing costs.
This commitment demonstrates the importance of the hall to our community and the willingness of local groups to put the future of the hall first.
We encourage everyone to support these raffles whenever you see them. Your support will help ensure that our much-loved hall continues to serve the community for generations to come.
Together, we can preserve the heart of Stuart Town. Without the support of our community, this historic hall may not survive.

Couple of old photos maybe from the 60s early 70s. Still a dirt road coming down the hill . Not many trees. The big shed that's now the shop not there. And a few less houses too.

Hilary and Carmel Cohen of Stuart Town donated 100s and 100s of pages and documents from Yee Lee store from the late 1800s to the state library of NSW for preservation and public display.
Thank you to Tim Cohen for sharing this with us.
