Walk north down Railway pl, turn right onto Dudley st under the bridge, cross the freeway (Footscray rd), continue along Dudley st (which is now called Docklands Driv

e), pass the car park, and finally turn right at the plaza (Wharf st). Squishface is just past Studio Lane, next to Creative Iris Photography.

It's drawing night at Squishface NEXT WEEK! Not tomorrow! Last Wed of the month, people. Wed 27th May. We're just getting in there and letting you all know ahead of time, like real actual event organisers would do.

Join us at Squishface's studio space in South Melbourne: Studio Hall, on the grounds of St Kilda South Port Uniting Church on Dorcas St. There are FOUR TRAMS you can catch from the city. 58, 96, 12 or the 1! It is even walkable from the city.

Bring your sketch books, bring your pens, bring a friend. It's not a class - it's a drawing hang out. All skill levels welcome. Always lots of regulars, always newies. Be socially awkward, be confident as heck. This is informal, it's just a free drawing session.

Go ahead and bring snacks. But no nuts please!
Our venue is wheelchair accessible, as are the very toilets.
Minors are welcome but will need an accompanying adult.

IT'S A SPECIAL DRAWING NIGHT AT SQUISHFACE this Wed 13 May!

Very similar to our usual LAST WED OF THE MONTH drawing night BUT this time with the addition of Soolagna Majumdar direct from Boorloo / Perth!

She's visiting as RMIT's inaugural non/fictionLab Graphic Storyteller Fellow! This will be a nice calm atmosphere for any fans or friends of Soolagna's to catch her while she's in town.

Studio Hall is on the grounds of the Uniting Church. If you enter the front bit, and veer to the left of the bluestone church building, you'll find Studio Hall. We are in there!

We caught up with while she's fellowing it up as a graphic novel writer fellow in Melb courtesy ! So excellent to have her visiting from faraway WA.

She's been staying at this triangular beach house, a true piece of mid-century strange.

Go check out all her work if you don't already know it, and stay tuned -- we will try to see if she can fit some Squishface into her busy schedule once she's moved to the CBD.

Daniel Reed's The Mycelium Complex issue 4 is now Kickstarting. has always been a great artist (and a great human) and, in between busting out graphic novels and collaborations with Isobelle Carmody, his magnum opus is powering along slowly getting better and better.
