Yarnda Maya Yarnda Maya is a pop-up Aboriginal art gallery in Ieramugadu (Roebourne). Yarnda Maya means Sunny Place in Ngarluma language.

The gallery is a collaboration between Yindjibarndi Nation Ltd (YNL) and Ngarluma Yindjibarndi Foundation (NYFL)!

Yarnda Maya and the Cheeditha Art Group residency is closed this week.

Juluwarlu will be prepping the space with presentations and displays ready for the 2026 Yindjibarndi Expo!

The Expo will run on Thursday 20th August from 10am - 3pm 🤩 we hope you can come along and check it out!

Minister Sanderson visited Yarnda Maya today and met with the ladies of the Cheeditha Art Group.
Kaye, Wendy, Sharon & Maisie were able to display off their beautiful artwork and their stories.

Yarnda Maya is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am - 3pm if you’d like to call in and see what the ladies are up to.

Yarnda Maya (downstairs space at Ganalili Centre) has been reactivated for the 2026 season.

The 2026 artists in residence are the Cheeditha Art Group.
Visitors and community are welcome to drop in, yarn with the artists, learn stories behind their work and purchase original artworks and merchandise. Exhibition space has also been provided to Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi artists, creating a dedicated venue that strengthens cultural presence along Roe Street.

The centre is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am - 3pm. until September 2026.
