We can’t wait to see your entries for the 2026 Castaways Sculpture Awards 🌊⚓

With entries closing soon on Thursday 23 April, make sure you have all the information you need for a successful (and sturdy) submission.

From seabirds to strong coastal winds, sculptures on the Rockingham Foreshore need to be built to handle the elements, which is why the City has engaged a structural engineer to support artists entering the Main Exhibition.

Final weekend!

This spring, experience the City of Rockingham’s iconic Castaways Sculpture Awards from 25 October to 2 November 2025. Named for the discarded items, or 'castaways,' found on local beaches, this annual outdoor exhibition showcases imaginative sculptures created from recycled and repurposed materials, set against the stunning Rockingham Foreshore.

With a $27,250 prize pool and three unique exhibitions - including the Main Exhibition, the Maquette and Small Sculpture Exhibition, and the Schools Exhibition - Castaways is a vibrant celebration of Western Australian talent, highlighting the power of sustainability and creativity.

"Opie, like his maker, is a playful assemblage of bits and pieces collected on life’s journey – not polished, not perfect, but creatively patched together and proud to share what is inside." ❤️
