Of course we normally open on the last Sunday of the month, but just to be different we are going to bring it forward to this Sunday the 24th for May only. Our Blacksmiths have other committments on the 31st.
So drop in and see them working and say hello.

Well, tomorrow marks the end of an era at the Riverton Hotel with Annie and John moving on to retirement. Scholz Park Museum and the Riverton Hotel have supported each other well over the years and a recent generous donation of $1000 from the Hotel is allowing us to build and fit mesh guards to our new outdoor display area. Unfortunately it is still work in progress so we don't have any photos as yet.
Our committee would like thank both Annie and John for their support and wish them all the best for their retirement. 🥂🥂🍺🍺

We normally try to re-open on the last Sunday in February but with a forecast temperature of 34° we'll give it a miss and re-open in March. Hope to see you then.

WOW! Our Blacksmiths Competition we held last September was selected for The Heart of the Community Award at our Australia Day celebrations.
A huge thank you to the organisations who supported this event with assistance and funding. PIRSA, Clare & Gilbert Valley Council and our peak body RCMC.
To the Gilbert Valley Lions and Emporium Bakehouse, thank you for the lunch and coffees.
To the Artists Blacksmiths Association of SA, we couldn't continue to keep this museum going without your support. You travel up each month to work the forges and never ask for anything...thank you!
To our committee members.....well done gang 👏👏. We are a small but very active committee, we get along well and everyone contributes toward presenting a museum and an event the community can be proud of.

Our museum is open again today following our very successful Blacksmiths Competition last month.
