“Adam, for as long as I’ve known him, has existed in a state of active tension. By this I mean he is constantly challenging the world within him and without him, his place in it and his place outside of it. With his Faith as a guide, Adam tries to make sense of the unjustness of the outside, and his gratitude for the inside. In this series Adam presents us with this eternal conundrum. Two seemingly unrelated subject matter, but for me, they are one and the same. They both symbolise a rest in the cycle, a curiosity, a rare moment of calm reflection in a world that leaves little time for such ponderings.”

MAF HIGHLIGHT

EMILY FERRETTI
With AUSTRALIAN TAPESTRY WORKSHOP
For MELBOURNE ART FAIR 2026

In case you missed it …

Emily Ferretti delivered her second project with this year, woven by Master Weaver Amy Cornell. This detailed textile painting was on display 2026. The craftsmanship - beginning with the dying of wool in house, to the arduous process of mixing threads to create that painterly picture - was a truly remarkable piece to witness in real life.

FINAL DAY AT MAF 2026

ELYNOR SMITHWICK
‘Flashings’

As another Melbourne Art Fair wraps up, we round out the experience feeling over joyed to have shown such a well received, strong, painterly show by Elynor Smithwick. We welcomed old faces, and new, and delighted in sharing the MCEC with FUTUREOBJEKT’s design aficionados.

If you would like to be added to Elynor’s ‘interest list’, and receive a preview for her end of year show with us, please email us via button in profile.

Thank you to .studia and for the beautiful furniture and vase on display in our booth.

MASON KIMBER
Keystone

3 - 21 FEBRUARY

‘Keystone’ presents textural wall works made between 2021 and 2025 that unite the languages of painterly abstraction and sculptural relief. Originally presented as part of A Caressing Gaze at UNSW Galleries, Sydney (Kimber’s first institutional solo exhibition), these works explore the spatiality of painting and its potential embeddedness in architecture.
