From my Toowoomba studio to a new home in Canada! 🇨🇦🌸🐝

A heartfelt thank you to my new collector for choosing this encaustic piece. It’s such a lovely feeling knowing these soft pink blooms and their little bee have connected with someone so far away.

I’m grateful for every collector who welcomes a piece of my art into their home. 🤍

Thank you to my new collector, Leanne, for choosing this woolly little character. It’s such a joy knowing my artwork is travelling across Australia and finding homes where it will be loved.

A little look at what’s taking shape in the studio ✨

Still a work in progress, with more details to add and decisions to make. I love watching a piece evolve as I work.

Looking forward to sharing the finished piece with you 🤍

A little taste of summer heading to Aspire Gallery! ☀️🍋🍸

I’m so happy these three encaustic pieces will be part of the upcoming ‘Bliss’ exhibition. A wide-brimmed hat, a colourful cocktail and lemons with a little visiting bee, simple pleasures that capture the feeling of warm, leisurely days.

Thank you, Aspire Gallery, for including my work. I can’t wait to see ‘Bliss’ come together! 💛

From my Toowoomba studio to Dubai! ✨

My wire sculpture, ‘Delicate Large’, is off to a new collector, and I’m feeling so grateful. I feel incredibly lucky that the art I create finds homes all over the world.

There’s something very special about making a piece by hand and knowing it has connected with someone so far away. Thank you to my new collector for choosing this piece. 🤍

A little glimpse into the world of encaustic wax painting 🐝🎨

For this year’s Toowoomba Studio Art Trail, I created a video to share the history of encaustic, what it is, and the process behind my wax paintings.

Hundreds of visitors watched it during their visit to Studio Fifty Three, gaining an understanding of how heat, wax and layers come together to create the soft, textured surfaces in my work.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to watch, ask questions and share their curiosity. It was such a pleasure to introduce so many people to a medium I love. 💛

If you missed it, you can now watch the video on my blog at studiofiftythree.com.au look for “Encaustic Wax: Painting with Heat”.

A little bit of news! ✨ These pieces have been accepted into Aspire Gallery’s Little Feature exhibition, and I’m so happy to see them heading off on their next adventure.

Each one has its own personality, and it’s a joy to share them beyond my studio. Thank you, Aspire Gallery, for including my work. 🤍

The 4th Toowoomba Studio Art Trail has ended for another year, and wow, what a fabulous ride it has been! 🎨

I’m feeling so happy and grateful for the hundreds of wonderful visitors who came through my studio. Thank you for your conversations, encouragement and curiosity about my work. Seeing so many beautiful pieces find their forever homes has been incredibly special.

A heartfelt thank you to Cherylyn and the team at The Art Shop for their generous sponsorship, and to our amazing trail founders, Jeannie and Cindy, for bringing us all together and all the work behind the scenes. And their patient husbands Brian and Andrew.

And to my fellow artists: thank you for your friendship, for supporting one another and for recommending each other’s studios to visitors. Sharing the trail with you made it even more wonderful.

What a year. Thank you, everyone! ❤️

What a wonderful month it’s been. Thank you to the hundreds of lovely people who have visited the studio, shared a chat and given so many artworks new homes. ❤️

If you’ve been meaning to visit, I’d love to see you today. There’s still plenty of beautiful art to discover, and I’m open 10 am–4 pm at 53 Prince Henry Drive, Toowoomba.

Come and say hello before the trail wraps up! 🐝
