Port Pirie Regional Art Gallery acknowledges the Nukunu people as the traditional custodians of Thalpiri Yarta, on which the gallery stands. We also pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging of the Nukunu Nation, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal people present. Port Pirie Regional Art Gallery was first established in 1992, exhibiting in the old baggage room of the closed passenge

r railway station in Port Pirie. The redevelopment of the railway station into the Regional Tourism and Arts Centre in 1994 included a dedicated A class art gallery. Port Pirie Regional Gallery is the principal provider of visual arts and crafts in the Port Pirie and the Southern Flinders Ranges. We deliver opportunities for the people of the Southern Flinders region to value and understand the importance of art and culture in our community. Opening Hours
The Gallery is open daily 9 am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
Saturday and Sunday 10-2pm
(closed 25 December)

Admission
General admission to the Gallery is free. Parking
Parking is available in the Visitors Information Centre Car Park off Mary Elie Street. Gallery Shop
The Gallery Shop is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (closed 25 December) Open Saturday and Sunday 10am-2pm.

✨ Call Out: We invite our community to apply for Guildhouse's 60th Anniversary Exhibition! ✨

To mark 60 years of service, Guildhouse will present a retrospective exhibition of our Members’ work at The Gallery in St Peters Town Hall in November 2026. The exhibition will showcase the depth, diversity, ingenuity and evolution of South Australian contemporary artists over six decades and honour their contributions.

Current and past Members who have engaged with the organisation through participation in Guildhouse programs or initiatives (historical or current) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications are now open for Grindell’s Hut!

This three‑week residency supports artists with time, space and inspiration, offering the unique opportunity to explore your practice immersed in country, surrounded by the remarkable landscape of the Vulkathunha–Gammon Ranges National Park in the Northern Flinders Ranges.

Open to artists of all disciplines and career stages, the focus of this residency is focus, curiosity and research, without the pressure to produce finished work.
