Ran away for the weekend to attend the Dunkeld Writers Festival. I didn’t take many photos - I was too busy enjoying the discussions! Huge congratulations to Mary-Anne Brown, Roz Greenwood, Olivia Fleetwood and everyone else who made it such a special weekend! Standout conversations from a huge array of incredibly talented and thoughtful writers with the help of erudite and witty moderators Jason Steger, Marieke Hardy and Michael Williams! Tony Birch! Alice Zaslavsky! Alice Pung! Antoun Issa! Amy Remeikis! Rebecca Lim! Jessica Mansour-Nahra! Robbie Arnott! William McInness!

A wonderful way to spend a weekend… listening, eating/drinking at the Royal Mail Hotel, and that Dunkeld bakery … it’s worth the trip even without a writers festival!

( #30 in the haiku challenge got my vote)

Not long to go now until the Port Fairy Literary Weekend - award-winning Moreno Giovannoni is just one of the many celebrated authors who'll be appearing!

We were very excited to get in to the Coaster Art Show yesterday to select a coaster for a prize ... however, when we turned up, we realised how we made an error thinking that was a good idea. There were around 600 entries! And they're all brilliant! How can you possibly choose the one? We chose a couple, but could have chosen 50 more. Strongly recommend it. And they're for sale from the opening gig on Saturday afternoon.

BooKwiz is back! And look who we've got coming along 🤩

For those who haven't joined us before, BooKwiz began as the Love Your Bookshop Weekend in 2024 and celebrates all things local - local food and wine, live music from a homegrown artist, and three book talks from regionally-connected authors.

And we have trivia! Book-related trivia!

Our event is held at the beautiful Keayang Maar Vineyard with drinks on arrival, grazing boards, pizzas and sweets all included - we even run a bus so you can really make a day of it!
